1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through the Sunset Browser website (sunsetbrowser.app), including VPN subscriptions and eSIM data plans.
For VPN subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase, please contact Apple directly through your Apple ID settings or reportaproblem.apple.com.
2. VPN Subscription Refunds (Website Purchases)
2.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your VPN subscription at any time. After cancellation, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made.
2.2 Refund Eligibility
- Within 7 days of first purchase: Full refund available if you are not satisfied with the service, no questions asked.
- After 7 days: Refunds are generally not available for the current billing period. You may cancel to prevent future charges.
- Annual plans: Eligible for a prorated refund within 30 days of purchase if the service does not meet your expectations.
2.3 Exceptions
We will provide a full refund regardless of timing if:
- Service outage: Prolonged inability to connect (more than 72 consecutive hours) due to issues on our end
- Duplicate charge: You were charged multiple times for the same subscription
- Billing error: You were charged after cancellation
3. eSIM Refund Eligibility
2.1 Before Activation
If you have purchased an eSIM plan but have not yet installed or activated it on your device, you are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. To request a refund, contact us with your order number.
2.2 After Activation
Once an eSIM plan has been activated (installed on a device and connected to a network), it is considered a consumed digital good. Refunds are generally not available for activated plans because:
- Data service has already been provisioned by the carrier
- The eSIM profile has been bound to your device
- Network resources have been allocated for your plan
2.3 Exceptions — We Will Refund or Replace
Even after activation, we will provide a refund or replacement if:
- Technical failure: The eSIM fails to activate due to a technical issue on our end (not due to device incompatibility)
- Wrong product delivered: You received an eSIM for a different country or plan than what you ordered
- No service available: The eSIM activates but provides zero connectivity in the advertised coverage area, and the issue is confirmed on our end
- Duplicate charge: You were charged multiple times for the same order
4. How to Request a Refund

- Your order number (from your confirmation email)
- The email address used at checkout
- Reason for the refund request
- Screenshots of any error messages (if applicable)
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method via Stripe. Please allow:
- Processing time: 3–5 business days for the refund to appear
- Bank processing: Additional 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer
Refunds are issued in the original purchase currency (TWD). Exchange rate differences may result in a slightly different amount in your local currency.
